Coffee gives robots a grip

We humans use our hands to move things around but robots use pincer like hands. A new way of making robots hold things involves coffee and is pretty cool. But one of the hard things about making humanoid robots is that you do not know how much pressure to apply to delicate objects, with too little pressure it would fall out of the hand but with too much pressure it could destroy the object. Coffee ground is very fine so it can easily form the shape of what it is put around.  The hand that these scientists are making is very simple it is made of coffee into a balloon attached to a vacuum when you add more pressure to the vacuum it holds the object tighter and with less pressure it holds onto the object less tight. This contraption works very well because it molds to the shape it is put around so it can lift is very well.
