What I learned this week and what I want to learn soon.

What I learned this week:

  • That bats are not cave dwellers but cave visiters.
  • The reason some cave dwellers have no pigment in their skin is because there is no sunlight.
  • Caves are very well insulated because of the hundreds of meters of dirt on top of them so their temperature stays the same through all of the seasons.

  • The land that we stand on is really thin in comparison to the rest of the bowels of the Earth.
  • The mantle is probably 300 degrees cooler than the core of the Earth.
What I Want to Learn

  • Why is it so hot in the center of the Earth?
  • How did the Earth start?
  • How do rivers erode the cave rock?
  • How long does it take for a cave to be formed?
  • How old is the Earth?
