Making water Wetter and the Cooling Race Reflection

I think the whole idea of doing labs in class is a great idea and really helps us to understand what we are learning by actually experiencing it and doing it. Last quarter we did two labs: making water and the cooling race both to do with water and it's properties. For making water wetter I paired up with Tatjana and we experimented with surface tension and which different liquids have what kind of surface tension. I thought this one went pretty well apart from a few skirmishes about odds and ends. The lab could get a little tedious at times and the slightest movement would burst the bubble which Maryam generated twice.

The cooling race was done in a bit of a rush because Luka and I had both been doing choir practice so we missed that lab and we needed  catch up during the next lesson. This lab was done quite well by Luka and I I think we got on well and did the job we had to do and no more or less. There were no skirmishes. And to be honest I loved to watch the way the mercury rises up the thermometer and I don't really know how that works so if someone out there is able to tell me through the comments I would be very grateful!
